I'm in!

Whew, it's been a whirlwind GUTGAA week with reading and critiquing queries and the first 150 words of fellow participants. I feel like I didn't get nearly enough critiques in. I read a good portion of the submissions, but I wasn't able to give as many critiques. I very much appreciate the wonderful critiques I received on my work. My query is all the better for this week's experiences.

And, after attempting the morning window of Agent Pitch submissions (I hit the send button at 11:01:05 and still didn't get in), I made it into the 4:00 submission window. Yay! I'll tell ya, I stared at the clock until my eyes went all googly, and with my heart pounding I hovered over the send key until the clock struck 4:00 exactly and bam! my quick-draw-McGraw-sending finger got my email sent at 4:00:00. Several tense minutes later, I got the email that I'm in!

So, yeah, I'm celebrating the little things and looking forward to the judging fun of next week. In the meantime, have a wonderful weekend. And to my new Gutgaan friends, good luck and relax until next week when the fun starts all over again.

  1. Congrats on making it to the first round! What a relief. I didn't get to comment on as many queries as I visited. There are a lot of talented people out there! I learn so much by reading others work. It is so nice of you to have stopped by my blog.

    1. It is amazing and a bit intimidating to see so much talent. It has been a great month of GUTGAA so far. I've learned so much. Thanks for visiting!
